Premium substrate for beetles, larvae and other invertebrates whose diet contains cellulose. Flake Soil is mainly used for beetles and larvae, but also for various millipedes and isopods.
This substrate consists of fine wood chips that have been fermented under controlled conditions. In most cases, a mixture of untreated beech and oak chips is used. These chips are then fermented with bacteria and with the help of an energy source containing carbohydrates.
The humidity of the substrate must always be adjusted according to the needs of the species to be raised. The Flakesoil must not dry out completely, even during storage, as this would lead to a loss of quality.
When using Flake Soil, but also other substrates, always ensure that the tanks or terrariums are well ventilated.
