It is packaged in plastic bags with slider, they can be reused. The substrate is sold in 5L bags. In order to provide a quality substrate and to preserve a maximum of nutrients, it is sold unsterilized . Thus it may exceptionally contain microorganisms or other unwanted invertebrates. We cannot be held responsible for any consequences that this may cause.
This substrate is made by us with raw material harvested in Provence . The composition is indicative and may vary depending on the batches.
Decomposed oak leaves: 85%
Rotten wood: 10%
Other plants: 5%
The grain size remains quite fine because the substrate is sieved. Sometimes, despite our vigilance, the substrate may contain some larger elements.
This substrate is mainly used for breeding cetonia, iules and isopods.
Our substrate is sold ready to use . However, the humidity must be adapted according to the species being bred . We advise you to transfer and store it in a semi-ventilated container away from pests, light and at reasonable temperatures.
