In terrariums, they serve as both decoration and hiding place for many invertebrates. Isopods, myriapods, pill millipedes, or arachnids like to shelter there and can also nibble on this natural material.

🧼 Preparation before use
As with any natural product, it is recommended to rinse the lotus before use. It is also possible to boil it for about 10 minutes to eliminate any impurities.
To reduce the coloration of the water due to tannins, prolonged boiling (up to about 60 minutes) can be performed.

- • May float for several hours or days before sinking
- • Contains tannins and natural substances that may color the water
- • Recommended: do not add more than one lotus per 50 L of water per day
If necessary, it is possible to perform a water change to adjust the coloration.
